Far too wonderful for me

Today’s Reading: Job 40:1-42:17, 2 Corinthians 5:11-21, Psalm 45:1-17, Proverbs 22:14

I’ll be brief today, just highlighting a few great verses from the readings. First, in Job’s final response to God, he says,

You asked, ‘Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorance?’
It is I—and I was talking about things I knew nothing about,
things far too wonderful for me.

Then in Psalm 45, the writer pays tribute to the king. I believe this is the high point of his tribute and it is all about wholehearted devotion to God.

You love justice and hate evil.
Therefore God, your God, has anointed you,
pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.

See you tomorrow.
