Grace and peace

Today’s Reading: Isaiah 15:1-18:7, Galatians 1:1-24, Psalm 58:1-11, Proverbs 23:12

The readings in Isaiah, Galatians and Psalms today contain many warnings of God’s judgment, but I’m going to focus on something else – Paul’s prayer in Galatians 1:3

May God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

In today’s world (or any day’s world), how many of us hunger for grace and peace. Grace – to know that God loves us, even though we did not earn it. Peace – to be able to sleep at night without worry or fear about tomorrow. I think all of us hunger to be fully loved even though we have faults and failures.
