Only a God like you

Today’s Readings: Isaiah 62:6-65:25, Philippians 2:19-3:3, Psalm 73:1-28, Proverbs 24:13-14

These verses in Isaiah 64 reminded me of a favorite worship tune.

For since the world began,
    no ear has heard
and no eye has seen a God like you,
    who works for those who wait for him!
You welcome those who gladly do good,
    who follow godly ways.
But you have been very angry with us,
    for we are not godly.
We are constant sinners;
    how can people like us be saved?

Only a God like you was written by Tommy Walker, probably twenty years ago, but it still thrills me today. You can hear Tommy lead it starting about a minute into the video.
